Hamafitz STaM welcomes you to shop on-line for high quality STaM: Sifrei Torah, Tefillin, and Mezuzah scrolls, as well as Megillahs and Judaica.

For over two decades, Hamafitz STaM has been a prime importer and distributor of the finest Sifrei Torah, Tefillin, Mezuzahs and Megillahs in every variety of script and custom: Arizal, Bais Yosef, Sefard, and Chabad, and Rashi, and Rabeinu Tam. Hamafitz STaM provides professional and reliable service, while catering to all needs and specifications for retailers, Rabbis, Synagogues, Temples, schools, communities, Chabad Shluchim worldwide, and now, individuals, as well. Our sofrim who write the Sifrei Torah, Tefillin, Mezuzahs, and Megillahs have been granted Kaballah, (click here to see a copy of the Kaballah) meaning that they have been ordained as G-d fearing scribes who practice precision in writing the Holy Scriptures with strict observance of the highest halachic standards.

In addition to computer checking all our STaM, we have a full VAAD of sofrim, including Rabbi Aryeh Shechter, Rabbi Simcha Neiman, and Rabbi Yehuda Benchemoun from Vaad Mishmereth STaM who proofread and manually check the validity and kashruth of all parchments that enter and leave our premises. Only after they have granted their authorization, do we sell that particular STaM.

Moreover, we carry exclusively Sifrei Torah, Tefillin, and Mezuzos certified individually by Rabbi Moshe Landau, the Rabbi of Bnei Brak, Israel, renowned worldwide for his meticulousness and strictness in the halachos of STaM. Rabbi Landau maintains rigorous guidelines for the Sofrim and for the STaM that they write. (Click here for Rabbi Landau’s list of guidelines). Only after specific initial criteria are met, Rabbi Landau inspects, certifies, and seals with a number each Mezuzah scroll and Tefillin parsha individually that has met his approval, granting each a lifetime guarantee.

Our expert Batim Macher, Rabbi Nachman Gutman, fixes tefillin batim to be kosher, mehudar, and look new.

Hamafitz STaM is a trustworthy source for STaM

In more cases than we would like to encounter, non-kosher and fraudulent Sifrei Torah, Tefillin, and Mezuzahs make it to the market. When you buy from Hamafitz STaM, you can be assured of the highest halachic standards and kashruth for the lowest prices possible.

Tefillin and mezuzahs should be checked at least twice every seven years. And the Lubavitcher Rebbe had suggested that they should be checked yearly. Please use the convenient form, and mail us your STaM (please insure it) and usualy within 24 hours of receipt, it will be checked and shipped back to you. In the event of a problem, our sofer will discuss it with you during this time.
